720p or 1440x900

so i got an hdmi monitor. im thinking because i tried those 2 resolutions in the topic and im not sure which i should stick to.

for films i saw no big difference but ide like to see what you guys might say in your experience with hdtv.

the monitor is plugged through a DVI to hdmi adaptor to the monitor.

you will only see a difference if the source is HD obviously enough.

running a ps2 or divx etc to an HDTV makes them look like pooh!

i suggest 720p since there will be no scalability plus most games are 720p still
