They are not offering anything extreme really although the two large parties would love us to believe that they are right wing extremists with racist undertones.

I hate hunting to my guts but I do not agree with banning it. I believe there should be controls, that there should be lines that are not crossed and that the hunters give back to nature what they take.

I am still undecided about this new party but the more parties we have the better. We just need to change the electoral system first.

They are not going to take some extreme stand on illegal immigration but I like the idea. Keep them in Malta 1 month max, then distribute in ALL EU states according to population per area rating (obviously Malta would rank last and we would be keeping the least out of all members). Then again I do not think that AN can strike such a deal with the EU.

"against gays" .. i think they have to go into deep detail. saying " we're a party against gays" is not enough as it can mean alot of things.

Avaloner

That is called suggestive journalism, reporting in a way to make you think what they want you to think. I think they are against gay marriages although I am not really sure... but I doubt any party would say they are 'against gays'

Same with immigration.... it says they are against immigrants when in fact they said they are willing to keep migrants for one month until relocation to a EU member state.

Read Daphne Caruana Galizia's coloumn on the times about this party. It really put that Josie guy in his place.

Missu jisthi, he spoke about women and homosexuals as if they are second class citizens.

Irid ikollok certu livell ta' njoranza biex tivvota lill-partit tieghu.

well, i wont agree with the "second class citizens" for homosexuals. they are human beings too, but I also don't agree with their kind of marriage & child adoption.

regarding hunting I dont really care about it as it was never interesting to me.

I repeat: The media - especially the ones who have an inclination towards a political party (including Daphne the Witch) are doing their best to put this party in a bad light. its in their interest. They are afraid, and they should be. I suggest that everyone reads about this new party from the original source rather from third party with vested interest. Bottomline is: DO NOT LET THE MEDIA TELL YOU WHAT TO THINK.

Its a pity that they have not released a website clarifying their position.

The best coverage of the even was given by The Times Of Malta (http://www.timesofmalta.com/core/article.php?id=264453&hilite=azzjoni+nazzjonali) Nothing about gays except 'the safeguarding of the traditional family format' which probably means that gays will not be allowed to marry. If it was me I would open a libel against the Malta Independent for such crass journalism.

i dont understand the fuss about the gays..

what i found real interesting was the increase of presidential powers (finally), the reduction in electoral districts (finally?), the set number of ministers, the reduction of parliamentarians and the elimination of local councils to make regional ones..

thats the real deal right here..

for this part only id vote for these ppl

at least it's an alternative worth considering.

women's rights uek jibqaw kif inhuma mhux tajjeb edin bhalisa jew :/ gays... hmm they should be regarded like anyone else (tho they still stay in my shitlist) without the right to adopt. marriage by the state shouldn't be an issue, i mean they r couples after all (no matter how disgusting that might be)

i'd consider giving them my vote cause quoting the article; i dont like having to choose the lesser of 2 evils

HELLO???!!!?!?? dak l-artiklu gie miktub minn the malta independent (thanks avaloner for the adjustment :p), li tridu u ma tridux ixxeqleb lejn certu partit.

di bhal meta fuq xarabank gabu lil lowel jejd "ME NE FREGA DI CHRISTO" u daqsekk, ma gabux xqale qabel u wara. u xkienet il mistoqsija.

DAN IL PARTIT MUWIEX KONTRA IL GAYS, imma huwa FAVUR IZ-ZWIEG BEJN MARA U RAGEL!!!

mintomx tindunaw li il media eda tilab bikom? times of malta ma tridx li in nies jivvutaw lil dan il partit, ax il partit li xxeqleb lejh ikun ed jitlef il voti, allura eda tpingi ikrah lil dan il partit.

Examples:

A new political party called Azzjoni Nazzjonali, which claims to have no political ideology but is against gays and migrants and in favour of hunting

He said there is a place for everyone in AN it is for Maltese who believe in their country above everything else.

We will bring together people who are not wanted or overlooked by the present political parties and discuss and find solutions for the problems that were swept under the carpet, said Dr Muscat.

if that means that they're anti gays wel... theres no other mentioning of gays or whatsoever. all there is (saw it on torca not here) that they are in favour of man to woman marriage

We are not against people who escape suffering from their country but we should not be the only ones shouldering this burden. If we truly form part of a (European) community, then it should share this burden with us, said Dr Muscat, much to the delight of the audience.

The AN will reach an agreement with the EU whereby migrants who arrive in Malta will remain here for a month and then be sent to various countries within the EU, he explained.

wow this is so against immigrants

In a clear reference to hunting, Mr Beattie said that everyone should have the right and freedom to practise a national hobby (delizzju nazzjonali).

like it was recently, with all the fines for those who abuse.

before you comment about the first paragraph of the article read the whole of it. and if ur too lazy to read it, then you should stay lazy and don't comment ;)

may i remind you that dr muscat was a PN minister back in the days and he backed out when things got tough for the party (aka then things sprang back on him)

so no, i wouldn't vote for someone who already resigned in the past

pero stramba jekk qalu li huma ma jaqghu taht lebda naha politika, ghax s'issa milli qrajt, huma jhaddmu twemmin lemini.

anke l-isem, il kelma "nazzjonali" jidher li dal-partit ihadden opinjonijiet lemini. u jekk tinnota, hafna mil punti li ssemmew huma punti nazzjonalisti, bhal immigrazzjoni ghandha tigi tratata bmod iktar serju, u identita nazzjonali ( ez il-kacca hi delizzju nazzjonali )

hija hasra kbira li l partiti prominenti prezenti, ma jhaddnu l ebda ideologija kif suppost ghandhom ihaddnu.

i personally really think that we need new parties and fresh ideas... but keep in mind that how politics are run in malta it is just as everyone says "bzar fl- ghajnejn".

All propagandas, slogans of all parties when warming up for the election are hearth breaking & lip throbbing displays of pure goodness.

What i personally learnt from this country's way of doing things is that unless u try it u cant really judge it.

personally i am in favour of much of what this party has to offer but i still cannot entrust it with my vote. (u lebda partit iehor...)

im just a confused floating voter i guess...
