It is getting great reviews since take2 focused on the single player side of the game and realized that either it would take long to implement multiplayer or that the game concept would have been too daft for one.

Let's face it, bioshock multiplayer would have been dm, tdm, ctf, dd & ls.

Not to mention they can play a viva pinat card and release a multiplayer game in a year.

Oh btw, bioshock is AMAZING (& region free!)

It's gr8 to know a lot of titles on the 360 are region free. Really helped with sales I think.

Tbh I'm ordering from gameplay cause It's the same price for me. Used a discount coupon I was given. I can't wait to play it although I admit I'm not sure If I'll start it now cause I've got my hands full with Blue Dragon.

Its very old school FF style and yet a big step forward and original in its own way..I agree ta. The music specially really reminds me of Nobuo's style FF6\FF7 era... there are some gr8 innovations put in the game..I admit I love the monster fight thing hehe.

FF10 was very mediocore. For me FF12 had the most adult feel ever put in an FF game. There wasn't even 5% mushy stuff in that game.

Lost Odyssey's concept idea sounds awesome...having an immortal character...and what I like bout the game (besides using the Unreal 3 Engine lol) is that you'll pass through different time eras..

apperently Bioshock just crops the top edges of a 4:3 image to fit it into widescreen instead of adding more visibility to the sides of the screen.

guns were rather annoying.
Thompson is VERY slow, i`ve shot pistols faster in other games (realism ones). and the "revolver" is ugly , leaves a horrible smoke trail and even though it is a pistol and the very first gun u get. it REALLY sucks.
crappy dmg yet kickback of a cannon.

the hud could have been made better imo, eve and HP are tooo small, you cant even see it out of the side of your eye. you gotta completely take your eye off whats happening infront of you to see it properly.

anyways i played a again, tweaking the settings slightly and gameplay got much smoother and to a certain extent got better

however my opinion on the guns i used remains the same. the thompson is overall rubbish. Am i the only one who sees the obvious difference between SMG in any game and the one in there?

plz if you havent tried it and are commenting i suggest you try it

In most other games you do not have the ability to incinerate, freeze and zap enemies. Making the guns as good as in other games would make the plasmids redundant. Therefore the game encourages you to use a combination of guns and plasmids by making sure that you will struggle to get by by just using guns. Having said that I have played the demo and cannot really share your view that the guns are useless. Its quite easy to bring down a couple of enemies using the Thompson alone although it is more efficient to use a combination of conventional weapons and the abilities you get through gene splicing.

Rumor: Bioshock to PS3... again?

A recent Gamepro interview with Bioshock developer Ken Levine has left the above question unanswered, but the possibility is once again open. When asked if the game will grace the PlayStation 3, Ken gave no definitive answer either way. Nonetheless, he went on to say that right now his team is focused on the Xbox 360 version.

Keep in mind above all else that this was the same case with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Bethesda denying the port until only a few months before releasing it on the PS3. We had the chance to talk Ken Levine, Creative Director on Bioshock, after last year's X06 and were told that a PS3 version was in fact in development.

To tame our curiosity, PSU mailed 2k Games about the rumor just to see if anything had changed but we received the same response they've been spouting since last year.

"BioShock is exclusive to the Xbox 360 and Games For Windows."

From what we have heard personally and the recent rumors circulating, we could expect to see this title grace the gaming scene next spring for the PS3.

PSU will keep you posted on any further information and interviews.

for example: moh demo was really great, i liked the new type of starting system and the upgrades you get from weapons when you use it alot

bioshock, well when i saw the see, i can say it was one of the best i have ever seen and also with my shitty pc the gameplay was quite smooth

i admit i dont buy every game i like, if that would be the case, i would just work for my pc and games lol, but in November i have at least 3 games to be original

re: lectric; oki lets say that forrrr sooome reason you don't like bioshock... doesn't the fact that all the friggin world loves it make you feel like you've got some issues ? i mean i played the game for like 6hours (got as far as the neptune's thingy/place where you have to get some sort of security camera for that guy to let you in) and i found it AMAZINGLY good. Stunning graphics, no doubt(im talking about the xbox version here), great physics and a great setting (just love 60s feeling, to watch Ryan Adams' videos and listen to the diaries). Besides the game is very finished meaning there are no little things to criticise about, no minor bugs, no graphical glitches, nothin.

If all dat doesn't contribute to a fantastic game, dunno what does.

Well you will be supporting the developers who invested time and money into making a great game. If it were not for pirates developers would be taking more risks and investing more money in games which would make gaming much much better. As is, pirates take a huge chunk off the developer's success chance of making a hit.

Also there is another little thing commonly called 'The Law'. Its illegal to steal and that is what you are doing if you just download the game for free.

GTR had lots of problems with users that couldnt even install the game or run it cause of starforce

the demo as a whole didnt impress me, multiplayer is known to be not one of it strong points. logically and realistically, i dont need the original nor do i want the original. so keeping in mind they are take extra measures to guard their profits i`m taking extra measures to guard mine.
mybe for you lm20 is worth it but for me lm20 is not worth it for a bicca singleplayer whose demo didnt impress me in the first place,

Lectric the problem is that copy protection systems are needed because of people like you. Plain and simple. These tough protection systems which cause a lot of distress to the people who buy an original is the reason why PC gaming is suffering and MMORPGs which require a monthly fee are becoming more and more popular with devs and publishers.

How much it rocks aye? :) seriously though the best thing bout bioshock is it's setting. I love the philosophy that Rapture is built upon and it shows perfectly how humans can fall so easily without limitations.

The first boss in the game his descension is shown beautifully through his diary tapes. Try to find all of them. They're really interesting :)

The laser broke. No one in Malta repairs it unless you bought the thing from them (although I did discover an advert on the teledeal for a 360 repairman). I cannot return it to the shop in the UK. What I did is order the part from Ebay and I will attempt to replace it myself as soon as it arrives.
