One HAS to be a party goer to have a life? Is that what you two are implying? What exactly do parties have to do with music? Why should I attend a party in view that I hate:

I cannot understand all this childish mockery directed at people who enjoy/ed playing a particular game (WoW in this case). Moreover its all coming from people who probably never played the game.

You are wrongly assuming that all who play WoW have no social life. Lets start with the fact that WoW is a social experience in and of itself. Its sucks to play the game on your own. You need friends to interact with. Moreover there is a wrong impression that you cannot leave the house to enjoy it. I know people who play the game one or two hours a week and still have a great time. I know people who are avid party goers and play WoW. Myself, I have a very busy life (gf, meeting friends, buying/furnishing house, part time degree, full time job, voluntary work) and still enjoy playing WoW.

There are people who lock themselves up to play WoW day in day out. Likewise there are people who lock themselves up to play ET day in day out. What's the difference? You don't see anyone here saying ET is for people who have no life.

So bottom line: grow the fuck up and do not presume that your lifestyle is in any way better than that of anyone else here.

When I said playing with friends I was referring to playing with people you know in real life. That way you can be sure that you are going to have a great time.

@ Dragunu - WoW got a bit stale for me lately. In fact I have been playing on and off, and when I do play its mostly to help out friends who have just started playing recently.

ive seen too many people go nuts on wow since it was launched , admit it that most of you that play wow were absent from the forums for quite a while , then when you decided to quit/cut down because it was taking up too much time , you came back !

at work a collague of mine got hooked on wow , so hooked that he took all his vacation leave and practically disappeared for 2 months with the occasional visit on weekends . all he does is talk about wow to the point that other collagues who dont have a clue who nvidia or ATI are , make fun of him .

I havnt played CSS for a loooong time now but i occasionally play for an hour when the spare time is available though i would like to point out that when wow was lanched a lot of CSS players disappeared too on the local servers.

so all im saying is that the game is addictive and time consuming even if you dont know it .

Yeah I was the first to disappear from the forums. I stopped posting, stopped browsing and stopped playing other games. That is a testament to how good a game WoW is. Having said that I diverted all my 'computer' time to WoW but did not sacrifice anything I did in my life. Do I regret it? Not one bit. In fact, my interest in the game waned not because of the game itself, but because less of my friends are playing it on my same server.

So to say WoW is addictive is an understatement. To say that one has no life because they play WoW or any other MMORPG for that matter (something which you and many others implied or said) is something else entirely and totally bollocks.

No, I didnt reduce my visits from these forums when I started to play WoW, I reduced visiting these forums when I stopped playing ET and started to play css. I used to troll in these forums while I was playing ET then the community ended up in a lot of fighting and I stopped. I know some people who play WoW that make friends with foreigners and go abroad to meet them. That is a nice thing to do.

You can say you dont like WoW but it is an offense to say ppl that play wow dont have a social life If you say gamers dont have a life.

the point is that some people get obsessed with it while others enjoy it to a limit , and you avaloner are one of those who enjoys playing it once in a while to meet your buddies online , have a chat and play at the same time and as you said in your previous post , you diverted all your PC time which consisted of many things such as browsing , to WOW .
