It's that time of the year again - CampusLAN keeps to its November date and ICTSA (formerly ITSA) are now back on track to provide the entertainment CampusLAN is well known for. Mark November 9th on your calendars and keep the weekend free, while in the meantime prepare your rig to bring it over to the Common Room and enjoy yourself.

If you're interested (and you know you are), please visit http://campuslan.org for more information. Bookings will be out soon enough, so remember to check back often to ensure you're updated, and don't forget to register on the forum and discuss which games you'd like to play at the LAN party. After all, it's what the gamers want!

Unfortunately, the website is not yet compliant with Internet Explorer, so for now please use Firefox, Opera or any other browser so that you can view the website.

We opted against recent games because we wanted the tournaments to be accessible to those who lacked the hardware to play them.

That, and a Beta Demo isn't exactly a good idea for a tournament since there's a risk of random errors cropping up mid-game, and while we wanted to include TF2, the large amount of players it needed to be done properly made it slightly unfeasible.

Unfortunately the CTF tourney for Quake turned out to be a little farfetched. We have changed it to a free for all DM of which the rules and maps will be listed on the site later today. UT rules are already up.

Oh, and my apologies but I had neglected to put up the dates of the event on the site. It should be visible on the title banner now if you didn't know what it was already.

Rules for all four games have been released.

As for SC, delf, we thought about that but we felt that RA2 fit our requirements a lot better in the sense that it caters for the tastes of the most people at one go.

We will be doing our best to make the tournaments go along without a hitch, so that everybody has enough time to play what they want, rather than what we want them to play.

Maximum amount of people for the tournaments (as teams) is 2, which means that many games can be played at the same time, effectively increasing the amount of time for people to play their own favourite games :)

Also, each game in the tournament shouldn't take more than 15 minutes, which also helps in this regard.
