hey guys,

i just recently got a psp and ive seen how awesome homebrew is for it (final fantasy 7 on psp...how can you say no? ;)) But i have a psp slim so i need to do something called pandara's battery which allows me to downgrade to 1.5
In order to do this i need to know a psp owner who has custom firmware...i was wondering if anyone in this forum would be able to do this pandora's battery for me....as i dont know any friends who are psp owners...

thanks in advance for any help

Haven't got a pandora myself as I don't want to use the same battery for it. But with a slim you cant go to 1.5 as the motherboard doesn't support it. You need to go straight to 3.60 M33/3.71 M33 or else it won't boot.

You still need a pandora, but instead of making it downgrade to 1.5, you need to make one which goes from your original firmware to the latest custom firmware - 3.71 m33. Its all up to the guides you use to make the pandora.

Most shops who sell psps/360s etc can do this for you as they use the downgraders themselves for the consoles they sell, but you gotta pay a fee.

so your telling me if i go to a shop e.g. exotique; i can ask them to change my firmware to 3.71M33 for a fee? if thats so great! Id do that anyday :)

The official shops won't, exotique/forestals etc don't even try :P

But those shops...like the ones on the bargain magazine which have adverts for those consoles, they most likely do it.

Mafia Style Baby~~ lol ;)

Bit of an off topic: I've got the original PSP Value Pack for sale:

PSP (patched to 3.01)
Sony Headphones
32mb mem stick
Box and all mint condition.

Know anyone who might be interested? I want to buy the PSP slim and since I've read the old psp is easier to homebrew than the slim version I'm hoping I might find a buyer who wants a psp at a get rid off price. I'll prolly throw in a couple of accessories aswell.

hey i have a psp slim and i want to put in the M33 firmware. now i know that i am supposed to use an already modded psp phat version. but i was assuming since you just need it to pandorize the battery and make the memory stick a magic one, could i buy both off ebay so i dont ruin my current memory stick and battery?

Just find a shop which offers the service. My brother downgraded his PSP himself using the Lumines exploit. When he tried FF7 onto the PSP it crashed at the first battle. RE3 didn't work either. The only game that worked till now is Crash3.

He's talking about me.

I downgraded mine with a lumines game when I had 3.50 firmware. Very easy and straight forward. I managed to work some PS1 isos and a lot of psp isos and csos. If you want to downgrade try visiting my website (the link is in the signiture). You should find a time machine in the downloads section.

PS:. Downgrading from a shop is expensive. I recommend that you have a 4gb memory stick if you want cfw. Godd games like gta and crisis core will take plenty of space, about 1gig each.

you don't need any downgrading, just get a "modding battery" from dvd.co.uk. put the necessary files in a memory stick which you can get at a super cheap price from dvd.co.uk too (sandisk 8gb for 37 euro!) and do it yourself, i guess it will be cheaper.
