Need to buy an Xbox 360 power supply (or power brick as it is notoriously known) Anyone have one for sale or know where I can buy one?

Nah, the pinout is proprietary and its not worth burning the console over a new psupply.

Needless to say, i think you tried the usual shops selling the 360 right? Damm come to think of it, im not sure if anyone of these would actually stock the psupply alone.

It is a bit hard to find, even online, and the only luck I had was with ebay. Even then, I did not find the official one and new so I doubt that ms does them! For anyone wondering, there was a power surge in my house which fried my power supply.

Bloody ridiculous this country. I need to step up my plans to ups a few more appliances then.

A friend of mine had all their electricals fried, 2 weeks ago due to a power surge. Computer, monitor, TV, satellite... the whole lot.

Enemalta is doing a nice shitty job of providing an electrical service.

The best thing to do is invest in a couple of voltage stabilizers and extensions. Plug the extension to the stabilizer and use the plugs of the extension for the multiple appliances you own.

Fabian Enterprises Gzira (TEL: 21313283) has some great servo motor powered stabilizers. Lm20-30 il-wihed jekk niftakar sew. They're good. I've got a couple of em'..they've been around for 3 years now.

Thanks for the advice. Will look into it. This was actually no normal power surge. It lasted the best part of 2 hours and was caused by some failing equipment from Enemalta's part. Everyone in my street had something burned. The toll is quite high: 3 TVs, 1 Satelite receiver, numerous dvd and video players, 1 plasma tv, 1 washing machine, numerous cordless phones and many many bulbs and neon tubes. The bulbs and neon tubes in my house were emitting three times the usual amount of light until we had the good sense of switching off the mains supply. I cannot imagine what would have happened if we were not home and my PC was on for an extended period of time. The house could have caught fire.
