Graphically there is not much difference from the Xbox 360 at present although I believe that down the line the developers will squeeze more graphical power out of the PS3. At the moment the online component of the 360 trumps the PS3 as does the price.

Bottom line: Don't buy anything and invest the money in some English private lessons.

Avaloner.... ibghatielu bil-posta.

Nice one though, cracked me up.

Didnt hit paceville on saturday but thats good marketing from forestals for a change. They need to get some guerrilla marketing tips from abroad and get them in action here.

Xbox is much cheaper right now and the ps3 is really expencive as I see it. Lm300 is kindof out of budget for me.

Even though, when they`ll price the Ps3 cheaper eventually.... it should be a great blueray player. As in, why buy a player unit only, when you can get a game console for the same?

i can't believe people are still intending to buy a ps3 after all the bullshit and problems it came out with.
AND AT THAT PRICE???

i have to agree avolner prefer spending Lm400 on a coarse of microsoft than spending Lm300 on the suckiest most ugliest console ever built.

the question is why blu ray???
- when you got HD-DVD same goes to XBOX 360 (v2) HD-DVD player... much cheaper console and much cheaper media

bluray has no future imho!!! (by that i mean 2 week clan :p jk)

Doesnt HD-DVD have superior audio quality as well?

ur right, HD-DVD is known for better crisp audio than blu-ray..i think i prefer spending on an axernal hd-dvd player rather than blu-ray...unless they integrate it in the xbox360 which would be perfect :)

yes its the black version

some info here

http://blogs.mercurynews.com/aei/2007/03/exclusive_microsoft_to_announce_the_xbox_360_elite .html#more-3441

the strange thing is that it's going to be limited edition

an hd-dvd drive will not be added to the 360, not even with the black version afaik. from that article:

It is interesting that Microsoft hasnt added the HD-DVD drive as a permanent feature. The format war with Blu-ray is still going on, and that drive would add considerable cost. Microsoft sells it separately for $199.

i think you buy a console 80% to play games. the rest is just bonus. personally i'd rather see who wins the format war before investing money into a format, only to find it dies later on.

although this will be a limited edition, the features that fall under the $479 will be in the premium console after the units of the limited edition will be sold i.e. the 65nm processor and the 120G HD

billy it was quoted that although one has a big viewing angle tv with an xbox360 connected, the picture between the 360 and the original xbox is almost the same as it remains a normal tv not an hdtv. is that statement 100% true?

im not sure if i'm understanding you correctly.

XBOX360 is an HD nextgen console, so the difference between it and the original XBOX is HUGE. Approx 6x the resolution (from standard to high def)

tbh if its a SD tv..an xbox360 will still look better than a xbox1 or a ps2 for that matter...so would the ps3

but then of course ud only be seeing 1/6thof the proper rest

I use my Xbox 360 on a SD TV (Grundig 28") and while it is not nearly as good as a HD TV it was much better than I expected. In fact I had the plans of connecting it to my PC monitor using a VGA cable but I actually do not see it as a must at this point. The games still look good and you will still be amazed at the graphical effects the system can pull. The only real complaint is that since some text was designed to be displayed at HD it is not easy on the eyes.

i used to play ghost recon advanced warfighter on a really shitty SDTV 28" with basically broken colours. it was still not too shabby. much better than a ps2 would look.

the only problem is with the text in-game.

the text of the dashboard was easily legible though.
